What’s happening with NJDI: RoboConNJ 2026

Inspiring creativity, collaboration, and STEM exploration

On September 26–27, NJDI joined RoboConNJ 2026 at Bridgewater Commons for a weekend celebrating creativity, innovation, and hands-on STEM learning. NJDI connected with families and students through engaging activities that showcased the power of creative problem-solving.

This year’s event was a record-breaking success! Organizers recorded more than 17,500 interactions, making it the most attended and engaging RoboConNJ to date.

NJDI participated in Investigation Island, where parents and students explored STEM through interactive experiences. NJDI contributed two Instant Challenges, giving participants the opportunity to think creatively, develop strategies, and solve problems individually or as a team.

The challenges were a big hit! Students embraced the opportunity to test ideas, overcome obstacles, and discover that there is more than one way to solve a problem.

These activities reflect the heart of Destination Imagination: encouraging creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation. By providing hands-on experiences, NJDI helped demonstrate how these skills complement STEM education and prepare young people to tackle challenges in the real world.

RoboConNJ 2026 was a wonderful reminder that when young people are encouraged to explore, experiment, and work together, learning becomes an adventure.

NJDI looks forward to continuing to inspire New Jersey’s next generation of innovators!
